ICYMI: Regan Deering Maintains Opposition to Popular Workers’ Rights Amendment

“My campaign is powered by working people like electricians, teachers and fire fighters who deserve fair pay, benefits and safe working conditions.  Regan Deering does not believe these working men and women deserve to have their rights protected in the state constitution.”

Springfield, IL – Over a month after telling voters that she opposes the widely popular workers’ rights amendment, IL13 Republican congressional candidate still refuses to change her position and support the amendment that would empower workers across the state.

Deering was widely criticized for her short-sighted comments by labor leaders. The bipartisan workers’ rights amendment will codify a workers’ right to bargain collectively, negotiate wages, and having safe working conditions in the Illinois state constitution. Deering is worth up to $142 million.

Nikki Budzinski made the following statement: “My campaign is powered by working people like electricians, teachers and fire fighters who deserve fair pay, benefits and safe working conditions.  Regan Deering does not believe these working men and women deserve to have their rights protected in the state constitution.  I will always stand up for workers in Congress – Regan will only ever stand up for herself and her bottom line.”
